Today is the day...
We usually wait until January 1st to do it.....
But, we are ready to get the house in order....
The tree, and all it's trimmings, are coming down...
Dear husband will be bringing up the boxes from the basement shortly and we'll bid farewell to the Christmas decorations for another year...
I'm looking forward to getting the furniture put back in place in the family room and tucking away all the Christmas things until it's time to bring them back out in 2011.

ReplyDeleteI procrastinate about everything but definitely feel the need to put things away and get stuff in order. I'll have to wait for hubby to bring the boxes down from storage, probably won't happen until this weekend. Wishing you all the best as you organize. Tammy

ReplyDeleteWe are like you, we take down all the Christmas decorations on New Year's Day. I like your name for the day, "Wrecking Day!" It'll stay up a few extra days this year, though...we decided to do a graduation open house and dinner party for Bryan on 1/1/11; figured people might be around and up for a day out. I was right...we have 126 people RSVP'd for dinner...AAAAACK!!!!! Hope they don't mind eating while standing up, LOL! I think it'll take me a few days to recover, and THEN I can help put away decorations :-)
I want to say that I LOVE the colors on the two crocheted hot pads/mats in your header photo...that's one of my favorite combinations, it just says "relax!" Lovely!
