They have your child sit on your lap and you hold their arms down as the nurse tortures them with ouchies.
First one was, "ouch!". Second was was, "Ooooouch!!", sniff. Third one was, "OOOOOuuch!!!", and the tears started to flow. The fourth shot was, "Mmmmooooooommmmmyyyyyyy!!!" followed by uncontrollable sobbing.
The nurse says, "Yeah, those sting". She then looks at me and says, "You got this?" as she quietly leaves the room.
I'm left with a sobbing child with four neon yellow bandages on his arms.
Good thing I had some lollipops in my purse. Poor little guy.
