Life has been busy here in our "neck of the woods". But, I have been working on my Greek Keys afghan and enjoying the simplicity of the design.
Please believe me, this is not a difficult pattern. The genius of this type of mosaic crochet is that you carry your yarn up the side of your afghan. The only time you have an end to weave in, is when you run out of yarn and add a new skein.
The body of the afghan will be solid. You continue with the same stitch pattern, just using one color, and it creates a subtle (and pretty) texture.
A stitch at a time...
a row at a time.
Before you know it...
the blanket will be complete.
:-)
Happy Hump Day!

It's going to be beautiful Heather. One of these days I might be daring enough to attempt a more complicated pattern such as this one.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. It looks like a very complicated pattern. I can see that carrying the yarn up the side would decrease the weaving in. Thanks for the sweet compliment on my African Flower blanket.

It's coming along beautifully! I love the gold and cream color combo too.
ReplyDeleteIt looks very nice so far Heather. :)
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot. I can't believe you don't have to change the yarn alot. That is always something that stops me from doing some patterns, or using variegated yarn all the time. I just don't like changing colors all the time and weaving in ends. It's very pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great.. The pattern is so different , a good talking piece :))
ReplyDeleteThis is soooooooo pretty! You just inspire me everytime I stop by here!
ReplyDeleteI like the bold print. It could go in any setting (contemporary or traditional). Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYour work is so beautiful. It is great and it is also different and that is something I like. You are a inspirational crocheter!

I've not seen one like this before, Heather. Very pretty! I'm amazed at the afghans you are able to create. I don't think there's a pattern out there that you couldn't do. Sure wish all those instructions made sense to me. :/ Hope your day is a good one. Tammy
ReplyDeleteI was here and tried to comment using my ipad and it was all over the place, so I had to abandon the message. Your afghan is gorgeous, and certainly does NOT look easy! You are quite talented with your hook my friend!!
ReplyDeleteLove this.

I've done three of those so far! I love the simplicity of the design too!
