We are getting our house ready to put on the market.
It's been a hard decision, the housing market in our area is still recovering from the bust a few years ago. We've gone back and forth, but dear hubby and I decided we'll put it on once school is over and we'll see what happens...
So...
We've been weeding through things and doing little projects here and there to get the house ready. We've made several car loads to Good Will and we aren't done going through the basement yet. Once dear son's soccer is over, we'll get into more "meatier" projects like painting.
We have ten weeks of school left for the year...well, 9 1/2. I know dear son and I are both ready for some summer freedom. Mid-May, we'll be celebrating the end of another school year and I can't wait!
:-)
My mind has been full of plans for our little family. Time will tell what the future has in store and I'm excited to see!

Wishing you luck, Heather! We tried to sell about two years ago and were unable to. If you're trying to buy, it's a great market with low prices. But if you're trying to sell, that's a different story. I keep telling myself that if we're meant to move, it will all fall into place.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the sale! I couldn't begin to imagine moving.
ReplyDeleteGetting everything ready is the hard part. You are wise to be working on it now. Best wishes in the sale of your home. We, too, have 9 1/2 weeks left. I am counting down.

Sending you all my best wishes Heather - good luck with the preparations and the sale. :)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you! I've been using my spring break to clean out too!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Heather. That is always such a difficult decision. Not to mention, one that is hard physically to see through, and also emotionally. I hope you find the perfect buyer to love your home as you did, and that you find the perfect house to move into, and make your own.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!!

A big decision for certain.. Dear Daughter and her groom-to-be are just in the middle of the process of purchasing their first house, and she was BOTH very nervous and excited at the same time! But the closing should be soon, and I'm so happy that they are making a wise investment!.. As for homeschooling, I don't know WHAT to think, as I'm hearing there are changes going on here in NY, and they are NOT working in our favor of course! I'm gonna have to look into it some more, maybe talk with the school again for suggestions or direction (IF they even KNOW of any!)... I am just SICK what's happening and keeps happening with budget cuts! (sigh) BUT, I'm gonna keep my chin up, say my prayers, and hope for the best; and I hope you're able to do the same with whatever lies ahead for you and your crew! (0; Have a great day! ((hugs)) ~tina
ReplyDeleteWe want to sell also. Keep putting it off due to the market. Praying you will be very sucessful.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe school is almost done for the year? I am amazed at how fast this year has gone by.
Wow, what a huge step, selling the house. I hope it goes well for you. I can't believe school will be over so soon. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the sale. Whatever happens, will be for the best. At least this gives you an opportunity and the motivation to get things done. Maybe I need to move. :) Hope your day is a good one. Tammy
ReplyDeleteSo saddened by this post...because I won't have you around the corner anymore...but I know this is an exciting and happy adventure and I am happy for you. God bless and of course best wishes...Love, your sister :)
