We are doing a small square swap on one of the forums I follow. I made this for one of the ladies who requested red as one of her colors. She also wanted an 8" square, so I added a couple of rounds to bring it up to the desired size.
I used Debi of DLY's Hooks and Yarns', 4-Heart Square. Isn't it a cute square? She's received a huge amount of hits on this square pattern; something like 18 - 19,000. Probably more by now. She has a lot of great patterns for free on her blog. Check it out if you aren't already a follower.
Hope you are having a great day.
Things are busy-busy here.
We have our nose to the grindstone with schoolwork.
I have to brag on the little one for a minute...
He's getting straight "A's" in all subjects!
Homeschooling is a challenge, but it certainly has it's rewards.
:-)
Take care and have a wonderful day.
P.S. Sorry for the poor picture quality, but we've had nothing but gray skies here lately and the lighting is really poor.

Heather - you have certainly made my day. Thanks so much for the shout out. I like the way you added a round of red before the border - it works very nicely.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to both of you for your son getting all A's. :)
Hi Heather, this square is lovely. Would be nice for Valentine's day. Well done to your son, and to you! xxx

ReplyDeleteSo pretty Heather! Debi has such wonderful patterns.
ReplyDeleteYou did such a nice job with it. I went and looked at her site, and put her on my blog reader. Some fun things to do there. Have you ever made the crochet hook handles? I might try those some day. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the little one and those As that is wonderful. That is a beautiful square, thanks for sharing, have a good day :o)
ReplyDeleteDear Heather,
ReplyDeletethe Square is so beautiful...
Enjoy your Weekend and have fun,
send you many Greetings,
Marion
That is darling!!!
ReplyDeleteI do like Debi's blog and have tried many patterns from there. She is so kind to share them all. Your heart square turned out great. I seem to have a problem getting things to line up when I try patterns like that. :/ Congrats to your son on getting good grades early on. My girlfriend in Qatar is homeschooling her 9th grade son who is on the low end of the autism scale and he is making straight A's too. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the nice comments. :-) DS and I both appreciate it. :-)
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, I've never tried to make the crochet handles, but it looks like something fun.
Tammy, congrats to your friend and her son. :-) People choose all different reasons to homeschool.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday. Best wishes. :-)
Congratulations with the home-schooling success! The square is very nice too.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty square. Four red hearts on white look so festive.
