After lunch yesterday afternoon, I went out on the deck and worked on my CAL scarf. It was a gorgeous day. The sun was warm without being hot, and there was a wonderful autumn breeze rustling what was left of the leaves on the trees.
I started my scarf yesterday and have just been crocheting a row here and there in the car to our different destination spots over the weekend...
It was so peaceful sitting on the deck with hook and yarn even if it was for just 20 or 30 minutes before the "boys" came out to see what I was up to...and all progress came abruptly to a halt.
:-)
But, it's longer now than when I started...
P.S. Every time I take a picture on the old patio table I think, "I really need to get out some spray paint and give this 'ole' thing a face lift." But it does have a vintage charm to it with it's nicks, paint chips and wear...
Happiness in a few minutes of peaceful crochet.

Your scarf is going to be nice. I have a dish mat I started with that same yarn. Reminds me that I need to finish it someday. I also have that same exact table outside on my back porch! Mine looks like it could use a coat or two of paint also. Not going to happen until next year at least now.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for my Crochet World magazine so I can get a better look at your afghan & pattern.
Have a great week. XOXOXO
It's looking pretty so far Heather - nice pattern. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's coming along beautifully Heather. I'm making one too. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern. It looks like it's going to be a warm and cozy scarf.
ReplyDeletescarf is looking great Heather! I'm on the look out for this book (found it on Amazon) as I think it's right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteYour scarf is very pretty. I'd love to sit outside and crochet the day away, but it is still 100 degrees here during the day. :/ I wanted to start a new project but kinda got sidetracked with everything else that needs to be done. Off to bed soon. Goodnite! Tammy
ReplyDeleteOh Heather, I love that stitch!! I really need to learn more about pattern reading!!! So cozy to sit outside in the breeze and stitch away, isn't it.
ReplyDelete: ) Love the table too!!
Your CAL scarf is coming along wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteI really have to start taking little bits of time to crochet like you do, I love all the things you accomplish. :)
