Little Bit of This....

...and a little bit of that...

We've had a full week this week.

Dear son started a tumbling class.  We tried a free class and he absolutely loved it, so I signed him up for the remainder of the session.  Homeschoolers get a discounted price and don't have to pay the initiation fee, so it was a great deal.  It's also a GREAT way for the little one to burn off a lot of that "cabin fever" energy that seems to get pent up during the winter months...

I've gotten back to eating healthy and have been looking through my cookbooks for some different recipes...just trying to liven things up and it's always fun to try something new....

This also seems to be the time of year for "flipping" through catalogs and magazines trying to bring color into my days.  I found this beauty in the new LL Bean catalog.  Very pretty, but "tres cher" as the French say......the colors are gorgeous though...

I've been thinking a lot about my maternal grandparents this week, so I thought I'd leave you with a picture of a lamp they received as a wedding gift some 70 odd years ago.......

May your day be blessed with fullness of heart...

  1. Hi Heather,
Thanks so much for the encouragement! I love your cozy blog....and I know my messes don't seem so bad...but...I only showed you 4 things...my kitchen cabinets, now that is a huge project....and a few are quite embarassing and frustrating on a daily basis. My problem is that I am afraid to get rid of things, even if I haven't used them....because some day we will have a bigger house and I will want to have it.

I think I just answered my own dilemma...I am going to just box up the things I don't use very often and put them in the attic....that was simple.

  2. Wow Heather! You have had a full week, that's great about the tubmbling class. I bet he has lots of fun! The lamp has a great story and it's neat that you still have it too. I'm also starting to eat more healthy, maybe we can swap recipies. Have a great weekend!

  3. Hi Heather, it's good to get kids active! We spent most of the day at the ballfield. My 12 year old plays on a majors team. This was the first official game of the season. Sadly, we lost 5-2. Oh well! I eat healthy most of the time, but I do like treats -- homemade of course. I don't buy packaged things. Tonite we met friends for coffee and I had apple streudel. Mmmmmmm was it good! That was dinner! :) Hope you are having a warm and wonderful day. Tammy

Sarah, a recipe swap would be great!
